LOT-HAND

Buddhist Hand Mala Prayer beads, also called "Juzu" or "Ojuzu". Made from real, quality lotus seeds 7mm, slightly tea stained as shown. This Japanese Juzu is made with a carnelian color parent bead and markers, and finished with a long, 3" double tassel.

The lotus flower has great significance in Tibetan Buddhism. Many deities are depicted seated upon lotus flowers, or in some cases such as Padmasambhava (The Lotus Born), having arisen from Lotus Flowers. The lotus has a special quality of being so pristine and beautiful, and having prominently arisen from the murkiness of a swamp. This signifies our 'Buddha Nature' where from the darkness of our confusion, the brightness of our awakened heart can be born. They have 3 inch long Japanese Style double tassels. Juzu are well made in Japan with a complimentary sage green Japanese gift box.

Juzu are frequently given as gifts - for example - to celebrate a birth, marriage, a coming-of-age, etc. They are also given as keepsakes and a source of protection to loved ones. Imported from Kyoto Japan.
