Tibet Collection Red Bone Wrist

Price: $12.00
Wrist malas are used as an aid in counting prayers or mantras in a similar way to their full 108 bead mala counterparts. Beginning with the first bead to the right of the big "Buddha" bead, a mantra (or prayer) is recited while 'telling' the bead. This is repeated around the mala until the big "Buddha" bead is reached.

The mala is then flipped and the count begins again. The big "Buddha" bead is not counted. Wrist malas are made with various numbers of beads. It falls to the practitioner to count the beads and determine the number of repetitions necessary to achieve the total desired for the practice or puja. Multiples of 108 repetitions are considered to be very auspicious.

Beautiful and high quality prayer beads for your meditation practice, each strung by Tibetans living in Dharamsala. The Tibet Collection design staff works closely with suppliers to develop new product ideas based on available skills and materials as well as the unlimited inspiration of Tibetan culture. Proceeds from purchases of dZi's (Tibet Collection) products benefit both individual artisans, the producer groups we work with and the Tibetan refugee community.

*These are imported and as with all imported items, our Sakura Designs 30 day craftsmanship guarantee is waived. Silk pouches are also offered separately. We encourage you to visit our collection of prayer beads, made in the US by Sakura Designs here.
