Bodhi is the Sanskrit word for "awakened." Our Old Tibetan Yogi Bodhi Seed is the traditional Tibetan Buddhist Mala, with EXTREMELY large beads, approx. 12-15 mm beads. (approx. 28"long, 50"in circumference) Bodhiseed beads become more beautiful with age and use. Perfect for larger, mens hands and the sturdiest mala for prostration (bowing) practice.

Bodhiseeds absorb the oils from your skin and from the environment to become a shining dark, almost petrified bead. We take new, slightly shaped, and tea-stained Bodhi Seeds, and custom string them with various hunks of beads and semiprecious stones including real turquoise, coral and sterling spacers if you like. We offer the strongest beadcraft materials available, so work well for heavy use like "prostrations." (If coral is used, please note that coral is inherently porous, and should not be considered a defect)

All malas are made to order, and can choose your own tassel color and color of marker beads if you like(Coral marker beads after #21 or #27 offered, by request at no additional charge). For Bodhi Seed, we can omit the tassel» and simple bead-knot if you prefer, for a small additional materials fee. All malas with tassels have a 30 day guarantee to protect from breakage.
