About Amazonite:
Amazonite, also called Amazon Jade or Amazon Stone, is a green to blue-green variety of Microcline, a Feldspar mineral that forms in short prismatic or tabular crystals or in masses. It ranges in hue from bright verdigris green to paler shades of turquoise, sometimes with white, yellow or grey portions, and can be translucent to opaque. It has a vitreous luster, and when polished resembles finely cracked or spider-webbed marble and displays an effect of pearly iridescence throughout the stone. Amazonite is found worldwide, but large deposits exist in Russia, Myanmar (Burma), India, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Brazil, and the United States (Colorado and Virginia).

This is a really beautiful set of mala beads. They are strung well and have a pleasant weight you’d expect with genuine stones. Cons are that it’s strung with some metal line that is great for strength but catches my long hair between the beads at the base of my neck. And the tassle is a regular medium brown instead of the cinnamon color pictured, plus the beads are not as blue as shown, they are a milky sea foam green – the coloring though happens sometimes with different computer settings so just be aware when you purchase that it may be slightly different coloring, but these really are gorgeous. I’ve purchased other Malas from here before and I always get a super high quality product. Oh and the storage bag is truly nice!
