About Aventurine:

Aventurine is a type of Quartz frequently used for carvings and cabochons. Aventurine is mainly dark green, sometimes with a glittery metallic appearance caused by green mica inclusions. Hematite inclusions cause a reddish or greyish sparkle. Aventurine was originally an accidental discovery made by Venetian glass-workers during the 18th century.
