About this Mala:
The Cancer Inspired Mala with genuine onyx, tigers eye and Malaysian Jade beads, with golden spacers and a natural cotton tassel.
Onyx is the semiprecious birthstone for Cancer, July Birthdays. Moreso, our designers craft each gender neutral zodiac mala necklace to embody the power and healing energy of that sign.
There are two varieties of Jade: Jadeite, a sodium aluminum silicate; and Nephrite, a calcium magnesium iron silicate. Green is the color most associated with Jade, but Jadeite comes in a variety of colors including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, lilac, pink, black, white, and brown; and Nephrite ranges in color from mid to dark green or grey-green, white, yellowish or reddish. Jade can be found in Japan, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Guatemala, and in California and Alaska within the United States.
Jade: Considered the most precious of all stones in ancient Egypt and even now in Japan and the Orient. It is credited with five qualities: clarity, courage, justice, wisdom, and modesty. It is folklored to evoke tranquility, so much so that even holding Jade in your hand may cause a feeling of serenity or wisdom. Consequently, it also said to help to the smooth transition to the next world and aids in peaceful death and dream yoga. Jade provides protection from from enemies and during long journeys.
Black Onyx: Helps one to change bad habits and is a powerful healing and grounding stone. Black stone in the Feng Shui tradition is considered “Yin” and is folklore says it helps with emotional protection and increased power. It is associated with the root “chakra.”
Tiger’s Eye: The chosen material for His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s own mala. It is folklored as a power stone. Tiger’s Eye has a wonderful reputation for attracting wealth, money, and luck. However, it has powerful spiritual uses as well. The liquid movement of light across the stone makes it an excellent tool for vision or divination work.

Beautiful Mala, nice weight and feels great while meditating. My only concern with it is that it seems like it’s a bit too tight and the beads have slight wear because of it.

Beautiful beads, too tight makes the whole thing stiff and the tassle is stiff and doesn’t lay naturally. Tried running it through water but tassle is stiff and you could make shapes out of it

What a beautiful mala! I originally bought it for myself, but then noticed my dad was inspecting / appreciating it. So I gave it to him. Months later, I still found myself thinking about it which I thought was strange. After a few more months, I decided to purchase myself another one, so now we have a matching set! The beads are all great quality, and feel very nice to the touch.
