Every Rudraksha Mala is hand-strung with durable knotting cord in our Boulder studio. Each 7mm bead is inspected for structural integrity to ensure it holds up to thousands of repetitions, finished with a natural cotton tassel.

Why Rudraksha?

The name Rudraksha originates from the Sanskrit words “Rudra” (a name for Lord Shiva) and “Aksha” (meaning tears), referencing ancient Vedic texts where the seeds are described as sacred tears shed for cosmic harmony. Deeply rooted in Himalayan and Southeast Asian spiritual practices for thousands of years, these traditional seed beads have been mindfully harvested from the foothills of the Himalayas, India, Indonesia, and Nepal.Rudraksha beads are the organic, dried seeds of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, displaying a naturally textured, multi-faceted surface divided by distinct structural lines called mukhis.
