WATCH HOW TO MAKE A MALA

Your Mala Kit will come with everything you need to make your own 108 bead mala necklace, seed bead “knotted” after each bead or… not.

You can choose to use the mala clip pendant anywhere on the mala. Your finished mala beads will be a beautiful reminder of your connection to Self, positive intentions and personal goals.

You will need: Two small bowls, sharp scissors, a needle if you make a mistake to untie the knot and a lighter or match.

Here is your suggested mala pattern: 108 beads plus 3 metal markers and a guru bead. 108 divided by 4=27. You will be creating 4 equal quadrants.

1. Open and stretch your cord needle side first, wrap about 8 inches (ca. 20 cm) around card to fasten later.
2. Start at the top of the mala, opposing the guru bead with one metal marker (BEAD #55), place it on the end of your cord, do not knot after it yet
3. Then take one main gemstone bead next to the marker, then use a seed bead “knot” and push it close to the next bead, tighten after each bead 27 times
4. Then place the metal bead marker into quadrants twice
5. Put on three holed guru bead and tassel as shown in video
6. String beads and seed bead “knot” back up for two more quadrants.
7. Knot back through the top metal marker to fasten.
8. Cut off excess thread after the marker and burn with a lighter or match to fasten.
9. No glue required! Store mantra mala in pouch provided when not is use.

*All custom malas by default, will use 6 mm metal markers, pewter spacers and a metal guru bead and a tassel. If you’d like different colored markers, guru bead, please let us know in the order notes.
