About Aum Rudraksha Malas:
ABOUT RUDRAKSHA Rudraksha are very precious beads of a divine nature. Spiritually they have been worn and used for puja and meditation, by Hindus and Buddhists, for many centuries. They are considered to be very holy and healing in their effect on the owner or wearer. Forming naturally from the Rudraksha tree, they grow in the wild, and also in sustainable plantations. They are found in the Himalayas in India and Nepal, Malaysia, and Southeast Asia.
The name Rudraksha stems from Hindu mythology and means “the eyes of Shiva.” It is widely believed that the god meditated on the welfare of mankind. He emerged crying tears of compassion. The tears upon hitting the earth crystallized to form these trees.
Medicinally they are known to: heal many of the mind, body ailments: they are cooling when worn against the skin: reduce heart disease and lower blood pressure; increase main clarity, memory & general awareness; Calms the central nervous system; helps quiet the mind & free negative thought; increases immunity, energy & stamina, with rejuvenating qualities.
The divine qualities of this bead were first noted in ancient Hindu scriptures and have been proclaimed down through the ages: they bless one with peace of mind; protects against negativity, bad intentions and spirits; protects the wearer from untimely events or accidents, and strengthens your heart , giving you confidence in the divine order of things.

The Rudraksha bead we use are 6-7mm. The smaller the beads, the rarer they are, and more difficult to obtain. The supply is limited, therefore they are more costly. Authentic high quality beads have a very long life, sometimes known to last up to 8 generations.
Mukhis The rarest of the Rudrakshas and the most powerful are the various mukhis. Each bead has a number of facets or serration??s on the face, which are called mukhis. The number of mukhis range from one to twenty one and each different amount confers to a specific meaning, attributes , deities and related benefits. These beads are truly for those who believe in the power of the rudraksha and know how to treat them with reverence. These beads are truly sacred and need to be worshiped as such.
