The African Turquoise beads are matte and become smoother with use and have a lovely rustic look, and they have a good stabilizing effect when using for mantras. I like the smooth riverstone guru bead and spacers for a nice color contrast. The mala bag included is perfect. I put them on the windowsill under the full moon to cleanse them for hours, can be new moon too, does not have to be directly under just not behind glass. Wonderful mala!
